We Decided To Take a Cruise Trip

25 Feb

They say flying is the safest form of travel. That may be true but if you are interested in more than just safety, cruises are the best. There is so much to do on the ship; it is like being on a mobile city. Let me share with you one of my many cruise trip stories. You may just learn a thing or two.

What makes this trip different from my others is that I tried something for the first time. It was so easy to do I could not believe it. Security was not exactly lax but they could have done better to prevent me from achieving what I did. It was the first time I was able to sneak alcohol on the cruise.

All I can say about the specs of the trip is that, we went to the Bahamas. There are many cruise lines on that route; you have probably been on the same one as me. I was not sure my plan would work. I was also not sure what was going to happen when my plan failed. So I chose a short trip just to try out my diabolical plan.

Of course that was not the only reason why I went on the Bahamas. There are so many things to do out there, especially with family and friends. Anyway, I wanted to visit the Fish Fry in Nassau. The food there is great. I also wanted to spend time in the casino, away from Las Vegas Nevada.

There are many reasons why people aren’t allowed to bring alcohol on cruises; policies differ from one cruise to the other. Don’t get me wrong, but if I’m going to pay more for beer, I should get more beer. I don’t know if this statement is accurate but alcohol seems to be more expensive on cruises than on land. So basically, they earn something on alcohol sales because they know we are going to buy it.

On the other hand, it is all about security reasons. They don’t want people losing control and falling over board or some stuff like that. So they try to keep the alcohol doses minimal by regulating sales and what not. That is fine, but it also seems like they take away our freedom to choose what we want and how much of it we want. Every alcohol container is written “drink responsibly”, isn’t it?

Do not get too carried away though, when the ship docked, I was knocked out of my boots by the wine. It is quite simple really; first things first, visit the local liquor store and pick your poison. Secondly, get a couple of flasks where you will pour the alcohol in. They are the only things that will pass through the x-ray scan. Fill the flasks up to the max with alcohol and you are ready to roll. That certainly worked for me.

Make the most of your cruises and unleash the party animal in you. Just remember to drink responsibly and make sure you stay away from the rails when you drink.

Choosing the Best Bottles for Newborns

It is not always easy to find the best baby bottles for newborns, what with them having very specific needs for milk. It’s especially a necessity to find the beset bottles for babies that don’t cause milk to rush too quickly.

Keep Air Out

Find the best bottles for newborns

It is critical for any baby bottle for newborns to work without producing air. A series of vents or a plug can help with keeping air out. The Bare Air-Free bottle is one of the top best baby bottles for newborns for how it offers an air plug that removes air and keeps the inside of the bottle fresh.

Inserts may also work in some bottles to keep air out. The Playtex BPA-Free Premium Nurser Bottle uses inserts that can be added around the inside of the bottle to keep air from moving in.

A Comfortable Nipple

A good nipple should be designed to give the baby enough comfort when moving from the breast over to the bottle. The Podee Baby Feeding System has a flexible nipple that can go at an angle from the base of the bottle. This allows the baby to be fed while sitting instead of when lying down. This should make it easier for the baby to consume milk as this is used.

A Softer Design

A soft design is also important to the baby. A newborn needs a bottle that has a soft feeling to it so the feeding process won’t be too hard. The Mimijumi baby bottle has a soft texture that is like a mother’s breast in its feel. This should be easy for a baby to take milk out of, especially considering that it has a soft and flexible body to it.

The body of the main cylinder should also be easy to use. The Comotomo Natural Feel baby bottle has a softer cylinder that isn’t irritating on the baby’s skin and is easy to consume milk out of. It gives the baby a better feeling when taking in milk and won’t be too hard to use.

A Great Body Is Also Needed

Newborns are known to often throw their bottles around at times. This is often out of curiosity or sometimes out of fun. The Lifefactory glass baby bottle is made with reinforced materials and will not break or crack when it is dropped. It does not contain any BPA or PVC compounds either, thus making it a safer choice for a baby to consume milk out of.

The best baby bottles for newborns are made to be easier for a baby to feed from and will keep the baby comfortable. You should look carefully if you want to find a great bottle that is safe for your newborn to use so it won’t be tough for the baby to take in milk.

Three types of neurological disorders

25 Nov

Neurologists provide approximately one million patients per year in hospitals alone. They treat patients with common diseases such as polyneuropathy and migraine. But also patients with the neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease and autoimmune disease such as sclerosis. Stroke treatment is becoming more and more important in the clinic. Because new therapies offer better treatment options today.

neuro-disordersStrokes are one of the most common diseases in every country and one of the leading causes of acquired disability and death. Stroke is the third most frequent cause of thousands of deaths per year. According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO) stroke is the number one cause of death worldwide with an estimated 5.5 million deaths per year. Older patients are particularly affected by stroke. Due to the demographic change and the aging society, more and more strokes will be treated in the future. The treatment of strokes is based on specialized stroke units. It improves the chances of healing by continuous monitoring and cooperation of all treatment groups (nurses, speech therapists, physiotherapists, ergo therapist, and doctors) in the early phase. The treatment options for an ischemic stroke have been improved in recent years. Particularly in the cases of the arrival of patients in the clinic in the early time window. For example, systemic loss therapy and mechanical thrombectomy and early hemicraniectomy in large ischemic stroke events offer various therapies. This can lead to a significant improvement of clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life after stroke.

There may be bleeding at quite different localizations of the brain due to different causes. There is a distinction between cerebral parenchymplusions (intracerebral bleeding), subarachnoid hemorrhages, sub- and epidural hemorrhages. Depending on the type of bleeding, different treatment options can be considered. The spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhages are often caused by hypertension. A consistent blood pressure changes are important in the case of major bleeding or bleeding with ventricular infiltration.  The system of an external ventricular drainage or the operative hematoma clearing by the neurosurgeons is considered. Subarachnoid hemorrhages are frequently caused by vascular malformations, e.g. aneurysmal. These can be closed by coil occlusion by the neuroradiologists or clipping by the neurosurgery colleagues. This is followed by close monitoring and drug prevention of complications. Secondary causes of intracranial bleeding may be traumatic, tumor-associated or pharmacological.

vaccinesIdiopathic Parkinson’s Syndrome is one of the most common neurological diseases with a prevalence of 100-200 / 100,000 inhabitants in every country. The aging society is expected to increase the number of Parkinson’s patients. Drug therapy for Parkinson’s syndrome is currently symptomatic. Curative or neuroprotective therapy approaches are also developing. In the case of Parkinson’s patients, Inter alia, the brain messenger dopamine is no longer produced, causing movement disturbances. Typical symptoms of this disease include physical inactivity hypo or bradykinesia, rigidity and trembling of the limbs. One can differentiate between idiopathic Parkinson’s disease from diseases that are clinically similar. For e.g. with motion depletion or A tremor, but have other causes. They include, for example, atypical Parkinson’s syndromes. Besides, Parkinson-like symptoms can also be triggered medically, e.g. after taking neuroleptics or antiemetics.
